Real close!, figure about 1650fps , even sights 6:00 post at 50 m, almost half the red of the front sight at 100 m, little more then all the red at 150 m, and all the front sight at 200 yards works real well for iron chickens, pigs, turkeys and rams.

It's a piece of cake if you know how. It's not about muscling it into submission!
OK! Will you loan me yours? LOL!

No I am talking about the alignment being off between the cylinder and barrel so that the barrel scrapes material off of the bullet as it enters the throat of the barrel.
The weight of the cylinder banging shut will wear the axle and its seats and cause this problem.

I shot one 20+ years ago, cannot remember who made it but, it was very impressive to shoot & a real handful.
It was not the BFR for sure. It was a blue gun with some nice engraving. The whole thing was very well made. A real piece of art.
If memory serves me it seems like it weighed over 5 lbs.

Sounds like the one I shot. I think Century Arms had one similar but, not with the scroll work I remember.

Never shot a 454, but did shoot some hot loads out of a Super Blackhawk in 45LC. Thye was supposed to be rated right with factory 454's. That little blackhawk only had a 5 inch barrel. Man that things twisted and flipped in your hand like a monster. So much torque to the slug going down teh barrel that it tryed to rotate the barrel around teh slug. Sure was fun hanging on to it as it tryed to go 3 directions at once.

That's where the muzzle ports come in on the 454 - they direct some of the recoil down to compensate. Gotta watch those hot loads in the 45LC brass. I've heard of cutting down the 454 brass to LC for hot loads.
