Alright: Now that it is finally getting dry here in southern Minnesota I have a project planned. I would like to make a bench to set in yard. This being said, I want to make it out of a hardwood tree with a 24" base. Have a couple logs standing vertical maybe three feet, and mortise in a 4 to 6 feet log sawed in half as your actual seat. On verticals, maybe get out the hole saw kit for a couple beer cans on each side. Just wondering if anyone else has whipped up anything like this. A couple different opinions can't hurt.
