After seven grueling years of looking at it in our backyard, my son and I finally dove into this summer's project. My father in law's JD 440 log skidder has become the new family heirloom. It was the first new JD skidder sold in northern Wisconsin back in the mid 1960s. It was re-commissioned to farm use in the mid 70s and has been locked up for the past 15 years. Here are some of the preliminary photos of our first steps.
