Does that measure go to the Ohio voters? IOW, were the 'yellow' plates decided on by voters?

ohio? put issues to voters? no, lately ohio has been sitting back waiting for california to come up with stupid feel good legislation, then they copy it and push it through the state senate and we get it. latest is smoking in your own car, and pink plates.
the main problem is that if someone in the household gets yellow plates ordered, every vehicle registered to that residence must carry yellow plates. I see dumptrucks with them. the pink will be no different I'm sure. imo, its a money game. the yellow plates give LE the probable cause to pull over any yellow tagged vehicle at any time for suspected DUI. imagine an innocent father taking his daughter to gymnastics and getting pulled over because his driving age son...whatever. you get the point. if a person is guilty of that crime, fine, but to punish the whole household? imagine mom going to pick the kids up at school, wearing pink plates due to no fault of her own. imagine schools saying pink plates are not allowed on school property. now mom can't go pick up the youngin for a doctors appt.
I forsee problems with the pink plates if it gets made a law because it punishes innocent poeple.

Alright guys, get yer flamethrowers (and guns and boxcutters etc.) ready. Also, keep in mind that this is a post from a PARENT of a beautiful little girl and not some pedo-sympathizer. With that in mind, consider the following:

The media-fueled and politically motivated witch hunt being waged against "sex offenders" is shameful; it in fact does very little toward solving the problem while evoking angry, vengeful, ignorant, and inappropriate responses which conflict with the concept of a civilized society.

County attorneys and law enforcement nationwide are currently spearheading efforts to rewrite recent legislation regarding offender residency laws. These laws are unrealistic and unenforceable. I would simply suggest that we make crimes against children carry mandatory life sentences. If these offenders are likely to reoffend (as the registries would imply) then it seems to me that public safety is compromised EVERY time they are released.

Personal responsibility as a parent goes so much farther than sensationalizing these people and their crimes ever will. Attentive, loving, dedicated and actively involved parenting will keep my daughter safe. Villainizing every d*uchebag with a sex offense will not. If I have to see one more appeal from pinheads like Mr. Walsh, another "internet predator" Dateline, or any more fear-mongering web links mixed in with my CHAINSAW ####, I just..........

So you're saying that because you are a good parent nothing will happen to your child? God forbid anything happen but there are alot of good parents out there that have lost a child to scum. It has nothing to do with being a good parent.
I think these people should be let out in the general population. Let the others take care of them.
A child or person that has been molested never, NEVER, gets over it.
The predetor takes away something that can never be given back or fixed.
It is to bad that the laws don't do more. The victims have no rights.
The criminal has so many rights it ain't even funny.
So by knowing where these people live gives us a chance to prevent something happening to our kids. It is no guarentee but at least a heads up.
If they are uncomfortable with the public knowing where they live to bad.
Granted if they lived in jail we would know where they are but I think for them to even be able to breath any more is to good for them.
How uncomfortable did they make the poor soul they molested feel?
To many bleeding hearts now a days.
