Installed this fireplace face frame and doors last night. A friend of mine did the stone work, which is really sweet on its own.

The face frame is heat color drawn, with hand made copper faux rivets. The two inset panels on the side are hand grained copper sheet, and a custom copper pull to open it up. The "glass" isn't glass at all, but a pyro ceramic product.

It's all coated in paste wax to keep oxidation away. It was a fun project, but really time consuming.

A house we framed about a month ago. see if I have any moar floating around here.

This was a nasty storm that moved in much faster than we anticipated! as you can see we were in the middle of setting trusses when it hit, not fun put on a poop load of braces, got soaked and waited it out at the diner

Looks like a fun little spec home! I love the soffit returns.

Wish I had a buck for every time we had a 9am truss set, you roll through the first half, and then race a thunderstorm to roll the last half. And when it comes to lightning, me no likey being around a huge crane boom.

    Cool pictures mang!

Hows this for fab work! This was a re-claimed farm building, But somehow it was all a bit wrong, 4 columns did not even belong to the old building and the area of concrete is a part of a 2nd WW airfield and not level!!!!
My job has been to cut the columns to lenth and weld on baseplates, Cleats, Stiffeners and im now in the middle of doing all the Eaves ties that were missing.
Been Mig welding with a new for the job Parweld 251. Bit of a change from cutting grass and saw work!

Been doing lots of new construction lately, here's sum pics. I kno some folks like Randy are to hard headed to like trusses, but they save us sooo much time, especially since it is me and 1 other guy. This one is 1758sqft I think, handy that everything that faces the road was a 12/12 pitch

Nice Metals! Will it take the heat and not come open? I inherited one that comes open and SMOKES like heck. Bad design.

    Good work as usual.

these 2 pics show the what is a piggy back truss, it's too tall to go down the road on a truck so the truss is in 2 pieces

    Good morning!

Now this shows where trusses save us time. The front is a 5/12 on the 3rd stall of the garage, the house portion is a 10/12 and the covered deck portion is a 6/12, this is all in 1 truss we would have LVL's and other headers and beams for the different pitch changes, but instead it is in one shot!

My new hammer, i'm not a dewalt fan of much, but this is a Dutchman's Stiletto. 14oz and swings like a 24oz, and $50. my estwing is starting to hurt my elbow.
