Great pics guys, love seeing the pics of the pup in the woods.
Here is my pound boxer...turns out she was pregnant when i got her from the pound. 10 pup litter and it was her first heat cycle. I was rather upset when vet told me since I had taken her to the vet two days after getting her.
Pups look nothing like boxers...but all found good homes and we kept one.

Got a 95lb. Jack Russel/Boxer mix snoozing in front of the fire right now.

Pound rescue pup. First Dog I have ever seen that can open any door that isn't locked. I just wish she would learn to close them behind her!

Ever see a Jack Russel jump/spin when excited?
    Imagine that at 95lbs LOL!!!

She's a schmooze in the greatest of Boxer traditions though, and smart.
It's the trait I was counting on when we bailed her out and brought her home.

Every Boxer I have ever met, reminds me why I like dogs more than many people.

Our jack russell used to try to mount my bull mastif boxer cross but she had a defence strategy that worked every time.

    She would stand up.

But if she was lying down that little humper would be there faster than a congressman in a mens toilet.

Don't take having your dog called dumb. Boxers are one of the breeds that are bred to work as dog guides.

Any guesses on what type her pups are? Weird litter...3 different distinct colorings. I'm wondering if there might have been three different fathers. Dog catcher had said she was picked up as a stray. Very mild mannered and smart dog...she allows my 2 yr old to lead her all over the house by her collar.

My mix is the same way. I'm sure there is a little old lady in southern IL mourning the loss. He knows how to have a halter put on, lets my wife put jackets and raincoats on...

Its a sad day in Southern IL.

i had to put my 5 month old boxer down today. he had an inherited immune deficiency in which his immune system was fighting his body. he was a wonderful puppy. And i gotta say loosing a dog is harder than loosing a person for me. dogs are about the only thing i really get attached to.. i guess i just needed to vent.

o man..u don't even know. i get that dog had 6-8,000 miles on him. i would take him to work with me, we would be in the truck at 5 or 6 a.m., i would let him out when i got to the job and he would sit in the back seat till lunch. i'd let him out and he would go to the bathroom and eat and back in the truck till the end of the day. never messed in the truck or tore anything up. i haven't had him in his pen in 3 weeks, he roams the house, never tore anythign up or anything. he would have been a fantastic dog.

It stinks losing a good dog. Sorry to hear about it.

I had to say, you look like the spitting image of my kid brother in this picture, except he has no beard.

04ultra, do you still have your boxer? how old is it and has it had any medical problems?

i talked to the breeder and this was apparently the only dog of the litter that has had any problems. i thought some of the other dogs might have had a problem becuase this was apparently hereditary.
