Has anyone had any encounters with the biting mites. A coworker of mine had a bid to go spray an oak tree for them and came back with about 3 bites on him. What are these things and where did they come from?

Has anyone had any encounters with the biting mites. A coworker of mine had a bid to go spray an oak tree for them and came back with about 3 bites on him. What are these things and where did they come from?
We gave them to ya we have every kind of bitting bug
or mite. I am not sure which one you have a red bug is
what is most common and they bite like chiggars and both
literally suck and get under skin and itch my ankles are bleeding
now from scratchin them buggers! I have been bit by other bugs
in trees and stings a few seconds and is gone no itch so many bugs
so little chemical or at least that is how I see it

Most likely there coming from mites, hatching out of galls on there leaves. "Bumps on there leaves"
