The bill of rights does not grant rights.
It simply recognizes rights that you already have by virtue of being alive, and prohibits government from messing with them.

All the rights are based on the individual, and so it is an individual right...

The rights are in order, and so the right to free speech is first and the 2nd backs it up....

Me, I personally ignor all the BS about gun rights these days. I vote and buy guns.

In 05 into 06 I toured the USA with my wife on a motorcycle for 10 months and carried one of my .45's all the way to Cal and back. Totally ignoring Mass and NY law, being landlocked in NH as I am.

Never found the need to discharge my weapon once, but it could have come closer in one state.

No one but Go-d has the right to take my life, and if I get my way no one else ever will.

To carry only means you have a 50/50 chance.

A pacifist will never kill under any circumstances. A pacifist would rather die than take someone else's life. Well a pacifist, can own a gun and carry it remaining as a pacifist.

Once my life and my sons life were threatened. His life was threatend first and he was in my back pack peeking out.

I was in a place known as the pemi, short for a longer harder name to spell in NH National White Mountains Forest. I was verbally accosted by one man of 8, who said "That kid will look better with his head smashed on that tree!"

All I had done was knodd my head as a silent hello.

When I heard these words from 15 paces behind me I turned and motioned to the weapon in a shoulder holster, and looked at the guy saying nothing.

He got the message anyway. I believe I saved 10 lives for no shots fired.

Not many goons will step up to be shot. Because a gun owner is a gun owner does not mean he has to be lethal.
