Don't have a outside "shot" of it, but here's what we shoot from...

It's 10x12 and the window opens out to shoot from.

There's roller skate wheels on a trolly that is cable driven from an electric drill. 100yds to the end. 10/22 plinking is the shizzle. Large caliber too, but ear protection is a must.

EDIT: Sorry about the pic size, I'd change it if I knew how...

Thats a cool target holder, I suspect from your location there's no need for a wood burner in yours, it was 28 here this morning.

It gets cold enough for me here(geographic center of TX). No heater in the shootin' house, but there's one in the deer stand(s), and I heat our house with wood.(***wishing I had a OWB***) We have a catalyst stove that does well until it gets below ~20 for sustained periods.

Raised in central Illinois (Peoria) and grew to HATE the cold. Moved south when I was 18. Still too cold in the winter, but much better. I'll take 100 vs 40 any time. This time of the year is really depressing.....

BTW, has anybody burned Magnolia? A buddy has a pretty big dead one he needs removed......never burned it though.

Well done on the shooting house. Here is an example of one of mine. The little LL24 made the boards with little effort. I collect the roof run off to feed the bathrooms. A 55 gallon barrel serves as the septic tank (dont tell on me). No wood stoves. I dont like the wood smoke while hunting. I use propane (I am going to get some crap for that). A comfy bed is a must.

Depending on the weather beer, whiskey, or coffee.

You have to remember to open the window before you shoot. This years early season muzzle loader deer - 10 point 178yds.

And of course the evil deer rifles 25wssm and a 6.8spc just because I can.

Well I am heading up to the farm for a 4 day weekend hunt. I hope you all have a good one.

Hey now that's cool, I must admit I also have a small propane heater but plan on only using it until the wood burner catches up.

Looks like a nice set up. When we shoot in the summer, we use our hunting shacks. The bows are set up by a given area and not by the yards. Guns are set up the same. It sure helps during the hunting season.

Val and I went up and checked our stands today and took home another load of wood. It's looking better for the Minnesota hunt this weekend. We found some nice scrapes so the bucks are marking. Spent about three hours in the woods to find deer tracks on our tracks on the way out. Looks like the bucks might be chasing the does. Could be a good weekend.

My main shack is about 6 ft in the air. Can't go any higher because Val has a fear of heights. Had to make stairs and a deck in front of the door. My son has one that is 14 ft high. We feed our deer corn and minerals for 10 months. This is how we do our feeders so they can be moved each months.

Our deer season starts this weekend. Good Luck to the Hunters.

The last 3 mornings I've had to get on the binders hard to keep from hitting a doe...and then watch a buck(head down) chasing after her.

We got some more work done on the shed this weekend. Now if the weather will just hold out one more weekend we will put some bats (wood strips) on the outside and install the wood burner. My buddy heard I was getting ready to install the stove and said he had some granite I could have for a stove base, I know granite might look a little outta place.
