How different are the jonsered 2171 and the 2071? I know the Husqvarna equilivent to the 2171 is the 371, Im wondering the Husqvarna equilivent to the 2071, Is it the 372,371,or more like the 27(X)saws? I checked Acres but there was not much info there. Thanks for any help.

From what I understand "21" denotes pro saw and "20" denotes home owner saw take that for what you will.

The 20XX saws just came before the 21XX saws. The 2171 replaced the 2071. The 2150 replaced the 2050. The 2071 and 2171 are almost the same. The 2050 and 2150 are completely different.

The 2171 has a side tensioner. The 2071 does not. I have heard there are internal (crank and/or case) differences between the two, but I don't know for sure.

As stated the 2071 is the equivalant of the 371 and the 2171 is the 372.

All the parts will interchange, the biggest noticable differences are the side chain adjuster and semi transparent fuel tank on the newer 2171, just like the 372. The 371 did not have the side adjuster or transparent fuel tank.

The adj side cover swap is easy on the older ones, just remove the on board chain adjuster and bolt the new cover on
