I went to school as a kid to be a forestry technician but never followed through
with a career got into technologies telecommunications and computer, now 15 years later I am wishing I would have pursued the Forestry career.

So my question is this how would you go about transitioning back to forestry
let me also add that the cut in pay of course is huge but particularly to go in at the entry level but not a big deal and currently i am not doing much with telecom and computer work..

any and all ideas and suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Do like I do - I sit behind a computer by day and make a nice steady salary with benefits and, a couple of nights a week and weekends I do tree work and stump grinding part-time.

I have no plan to leave my full-time job at this time but, I now am in a position to go full-time with tree care if I ever decided or was forced to do so.

I'd suggest starting off small and getting into it part-time either working for yourself or for another company.
