I noticed when I took the jug off that the clamp on the intake was pretty horrible so tossed it all back together with a hose clamp in place and the "screaming" isn't happening any more so doesn't "seem" like she's leaking air any more based on my limited knowledge?

I grabbed a longer piece of fuel line to put in place of the impulse line to ensure it's not kinking and she'll start and run momentarily but then stalls out. Giving it trigger it bogs slowly to higher rpm but dies as soon as you let of trigger so definitely thinking if I could get my hands on a decent carb and chuck my cheap Chinese one I might have it running.

I have the original carb from the saw but it's missing the idle adjust screw/spring. I have some parts on order for my 254 so maybe I'll see if I can get the missing screws and a rebuild for the original or track down another.
