Hi folks,

I am new to doing a lot of my own repairs but I am getting through it.

I consulted my small engine books and couldn't find any info on caring for the bottom end of my saw.

I recently got a replacement for the P&C on my 372.

I didn't clean the area around the muffler well before taking off the cylinder. I dont see any visible dirt in the crank case but I am worried some got down in there.

What is the best way to clean that area out and what/how much should i lube it up with before putting the P&C back on and sealing the gasket.

My gut says just dump a bunch of saw gas in there and pour it our a few times then pour in some 2 stroke oil but I wanted to check with the experts.

Thanks,
Buckbo

I pour old two stroke mix in the crankcase and rotate the crank a few times before dumping the junk. If you repeat this step a few times, your bottom end should be sparkling
