I found this on youtube earlier. Thought it was pretty cool.

Though about building something like this a while back. I would think you could find a way to speed it a bit, especially on the board return.

Interesting, but if I were going to all that effort, I think I'd have built a bandsaw head for it instead of using a chainsaw bar.

Like most things this design has pros and cons.

Pros
- mobile
- ease of use
- saws in both directions

Cons
- Limited to where you can drive to
- wider kerf than BS
- Limited size of logs (Some of the logs I deal with would crush this thing like a pile of twigs)
- Have to lift logs onto platform.

Looks like they have a blade saw set on the same principle.

After watching that I'm sure glad my Granpaw and Daddy set up our circular mill, man is that slow.
