Dial back timing light with chainsaws?

I have read that there can be issues with certain dial back timing lights and certain automotive ignitions.

Is there any reason a standard dial back timing strobe would not work with fairly late model Huskies or Stihl chainsaws? (less than 10 yrs old)

Thought I'd ask before buying one.

Many won't strobe over 8-9k... some much less. You can borrow mine to see if it suits before buying another. No idea how high mine runs.

The problem with the car ignitions is the muti spark ignitions and the style
of wires.
