I have a Fitchburg Chipper and need info on adjusting and replacing the cutter blades.

You set the blades just like you would on a jointer planer. From a fixed point, measure how tall each blade is sticking up. There are some jigs ready made for this purpose that Woodcraft, Rockler and some others sell, but the basic instrument that you need is a dial indicator, which can be got cheap from Harbor Freight or others. What you are aiming for is uniform blade height, established by shimming the blades until they are all the same height.:blob2: :blob4: :blob2: :blob4:
