Hi Fellas,
Just wanted to post a quick note on my Homelite 450.
I really like this saw. It is powerful (with torque) and fast if you want it to be. It will out speed my 550 but the 550 will hold rpm better in a big cut like a stump . Last weekend I ran my SXL 925 and the 450 for cutting fire wood.
The best I can describe the two saws is, the 925 is a steady torque loaded beast. The 450 is a QUIETER moderately torque loaded saw with speed at the reserve if you want it. I'm very pleased with both........Best of luck to all........J
