I ran a tank of gas through an old mcculloch 650,(early 60's vintage) cutting firewood today. I pulled the filter off to find a lot of fine sawdust on the inside of the filter box. It was clean when I started. The filter looks good. Is this normal for these older macs?

sachs dolmar 114 gas cap.....pain in the rear

I have a dolmar 114 that I picked up a while back. I've been running it lately cutting firewood. The fuel cap is hard to start straight and and really sticks. It needs a screw driver to tighten and loosen it. The threads look good and it's going in straight. Is this normal or do I have the wrong cap. Thanks
