Husky 141 LE not oiling well

A friend has a 141 from 2004 or so, uses it some he says. Always fires right up. Just doesn't seem to oil well, he relays. Says he has the selctable ratio dialed all the way up, and the b&c get hot. A former dealer mentioned to him that he'd heard it was a problem.

He's just asking questions mostly but wants to tear it apart over the weekend.

Without seeing it, I'd be thinking dull chain, pinched bar, wrong oils, but he's a smart guy and I think he checks that.

Check if the plastic gear is not stripped and at the same time , remove the oil hose from the l tank and clean the oil screen .The pump is not adjustable.Clutch unscrews counterclockwise.Husky release a bulletin for the 141 about oil leakage in 2005 and they are offering a new hose # 5450371 01.
