My Father-in-law has a 930 that was given to him by a logger friend. Saw is in great condition and runs great. Right know, it has a 20" bar. What is the longest you can run on this saw?

36" should be no problem and it will do 24" and 28" without even working up a sweat.

Only caution is not to yank on the saw if you get it stuck. Those little mounts in the rear handle are really tough to find if you rip them.

I occasionally run a 32" bar with no problem on my 920. Of course, I use semi-skip to ease my time sharpening, but it balances out nice.
