Here are some pictures of my LL24 and some eastern white cedar. There is a longgg story behind these logs with the home owner. Most of the cedar around here is junk. By the time they are big enough to mill there is rot at the bases. The small pile of boards has rot in them. I keep them for a friends pig pens. On 03/22 I took the trees down and moved the logs home. The metal detector found two nails. The trees we located next to a driveway, power lines, and a barn. On 03/29 I leveled the mill and got a couple of logs milled and Grandma calls and wants to see the grandkids. There is no way of saying no to Grandma. So on Sunday, I hit it hard. It was 8F in the morning and by lunch 45F. I wanted to get this project done by Monday when rain was expected (mud pit). I did hit something hard. It took out the blade. When I went to cut that end of that log off 4” behind the object I hit I hit the object again with the chain saw (a horse shoe?), blade two down, the joys of residential work. Notice how the belt hangs down under the guard on the one picture. Start in the snow end in the mud. Enjoy.http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u54/MJR007/IMG_1065.jpghttp://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u54/MJR007/IMG_1069.jpghttp://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u54/MJR007/IMG_1068.jpghttp://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u54/MJR007/IMG_1070.jpghttp://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u54/MJR007/IMG_1073.jpghttp://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u54/MJR007/IMG_1074.jpghttp://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u54/MJR007/IMG_1077.jpghttp://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u54/MJR007/IMG_1078.jpg
