Pretty close to being even but the 28 bar saw looks like it may be a little faster am I right? Has more work been done to one than the other?

i got nine 8.5 for the 044 and slightly faster for the 440.

Wood?

What kind of wood are you cuttin' there Evan?

You must be the best darn saw modder out there, or that wood is really crappy! The first vid when you fall out of the cut, it looks like the partial cookie just crumbles.

check out this exsplodeing cookie

Yeah,,

When you shank that first cookie, it just shatters like glass.

I need me some of that Douglas Fir for tomorrow when my little Bro comes over to check out my "new to me" 153!

Help a member out and bring a couple of those in about 32" diameter.

And bring those 440s, I gots some stuff to slow them boys down a good bit!

i would love to cut something difrent. id like to see what cutting real hardwood is like.

ill bring something about 30" just perfect for a 32" bar

You Sir are a good sport!:buttkick:

 your vids, wish I knew how to make one.

Looks like the 440 was a couple seconds faster. I would like to cut some of that wood to see how our saws compare to each others. I don't have any pine or nothing soft like that over 10" laying around.

me to id love to cut something like what you have. im kinda on my own over here.

ive cut alittle pine and its atleast alittle bit softer. it cuts way faster

I've been in Montana and Arizona working but no saws and nowhere to cut. We have some hemlock here but I don't cut it hardly ever. That is probably the only other wood we have here that's softwood close to what you have.

i realy dont know where doug fir stands on the hardness chart but i guess its not that hard.

what were you doing working in montana

i exrayed some pipe over theyre and it didnt pass, showing stress fractures, theyre replaceing alot of it:cheers:

I wouldn't mind coming back out there if the pay went up from what it was 4 years ago when I came out there. I worked on the ultra low sulphur diesel addition. It was all new section.
