My latest endeavor

I started on this white oak back in June, and between bad weather and endless overtime at work, have just finished a week or two ago.

21 slabs out of the two trunk sections and 18 slabs out of the larger branch sections.

Widest trunk measurement was 68” across.

Beautiful tree and beautiful wood.

You should have a shoulder strap on that saw, like a guitar...
Wow thats some nice slabs ! Might twist an curl on ya when drying though.

Yea, I figured they would, but that’s the nature of the beast. I have some industrial strapping material and ratchet that is supposed to put around 2400lbs of force down, so I am going to strap them down.
