Need help with the ID of my Charlie Brown tree.

I think its some kind of Cedar by the trunk shape and smell. It was freshly dug and sitting by the curb to get hauled away. So i pulled my Geo Metro over and hoisted it into the hatchback. I just don't know what it is, not that it matters because i planted it anyways...Bob

Hard to tell from the photo, the top growth leads me to believe it is a hemlock, try google hemlock and zoom in on foliage check for match. nice looking tree regardless, charlie is a handsome fella.
