New 041 Project

A friend brought me a 041 and a basket of other 041 parts totaling 2 3/4 saws. All have the symptom, the screw holes have wallowed out. Both have spark and compression. and would be shame to part or junk out. Is it okay to use a rethread kit in the cylinder block where the rear handle mounts?

Its ok to rethread any hole. Do a search for heli coils and timeserts,maybe others. Im not familiar with the saw your talking about but I would imagine there is enough meat to fix.
