First I searched:
http://www.arboristsite.com/showthread.php?t=81411 no replys

Since the NT main thread (http://www.arboristsite.com/showthread.php?p=2475774#post2475774) is SOOOOO long I asked esshup to read it all and summarize. He wrote he did:
<snip
I read the complete NT thread last night (that's right, every post and my eyes are still bleeding, but in a good way :) ), and it seems that the quality has slipped a bit in the past few years, and the price now is $129.99.

To paraphrase the mods:

Grind any sprues/mold flash off that will inhibit smooth movement
grind ridge off of washer
File turntable mating surfaces smooth - use a dry lube on them
add shims, spring and SS washer (will fab myself since Stihl 041 isn't making them now)
add up travel limit bolt
true up vice jaws
buy different wheels
download Oregon manual

How'd I do? What did I miss?<snip.

A couple of points -
1. go build esshup's rep for his homework.
2. The grinder was often on sale for $90
3. TSC seems to have a similar one
4. My recent mod was to add 4 thicknesses of duct tape to the cam vise clamp so I don't have to turn it so far.

attachment.php

prior to this EXPENSIVE mod the cam lever went all the way over next to the vise. I might end up adding another 2 layers.

Anyways - please add any other neat mods to this thread and remember that pictures enhance your (size, afterlife, reputation).

And again thanks to esshup.
