Poulan 2150 air filter upgrade?

The oem filter is just a sponge triangle stuffed in the recessed filter housing.
Anyone know if a better elux filter would/could fit?
Or am I doomed?

I suspect that - the similar Partner saws have the same filter.....

br, you're not doomed if you clean and lightly oil the filter on a regular maintenance schedule. I believe that it is recomended every five hours. Have you thought of a prefilter? Check this out. http://www.arboristsite.com/showpost.php?p=581587&postcount=1

What he said, may I also add that those filters list for a whopping 87 cents. Keep a couple extra in some zip lock sandwich bags and swap em out every now and then if your really useing it that much.
