I have a 4" diameter weeping willow I planted last summer. It is now about 10' tall. During the fall and then in the spring the leaves were weighted down by heavy snowfalls. Now the tree bends way over to one side. I have staked it up better but I think I need to prune (or pollard?) some branches from the top since it is so top-heavy on one side. How do I prune a young weeping willow?
