sears poulan oilpump

Im probably wasting my time and yours but Im working on coworkers saw looks similar to this one. It wouldnt run,needed fuel line. Needed rope,replace rope. Now that I have it running I took it out to cut I noticed oiler isnt pumping. Did all the usual,drain tank flush with diesel fuel blow out line took off oil pump cleaned lubed and reassembled. Very little oil,not enough to make it to bar. just enough to make a mess. Any suggestions other than throw in the river. Ive wasted a bunch of time on this POS.

From what I've read most of the problems are that the plastic oil pump gear is worn out if it has the small Poulan oil pump. If you'll give us the model number someone will look it up.

Yah its got the small plastic pump but Ill have to check tommorrow. Its at work. I didnt look hard at gear but I thought it looked ok.

Your local Husky dealer should have plenty of what you need in stock.......

Great this thing is turning into a nightmare. The dude was already crabbing about parts he bought already.
