Hi there,

I've lost the link to these charts.

My to be splitter will have a 11HP engine with 16GPM 2 stage pump and a 24'' stroke x 5'' bore x 2 1/2'' rod and I'd like to know what the expected cycle times will be, can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

I got a Huskee splitter close to that. I think it rated 14 seconds a cycle. Do you have any wee people over there that can help me split wood over here?

Close,
Extend Time= 7.7 sec. Retract Time= 5.7 sec. Cycle Time= 13.4 sec.

Nowa days they are hard to find, even if you are paying :dizzy:

Cheers

I was surprised at the slight difference between a 2'' rod and a 2 1/2'' rod

Anyone care to comment on which would be best?

Cheers

probably won't bend 2 inch at 24 extension, but still a good plan. It also means larger rod bushing area for lower wear characteristics, and larger seal cavity which helps for reasons i wont' go into .

Heavier cylinder slightly though.
