Stihl 076 Super one-piece gas tank construction?

I'm working on refurbishing one of these saws and would like to powder coat it. This model has a one-piece fuel tank. Looking at the seam where the two halves join, I'm not sure if this is joined with adhesive or if it's some fancy welded joint. I scratched across the seam in one spot, and what looks like an adhesive bead has much the same color as the tank halves. Have any of you powdercoated one of these tanks? It will see temps of 400F or a bit higher when powdercoating, and I don't want to melt a glue joint apart, etc.

Well, I went ahead with it today, and it worked just fine!

I used RAL 2009 (from Prismatic Powder) on the orange parts. I had it left over from making some KTM stuff. It's a bit lighter than what the original had, but I'm calling it good enough.

It’s together and running! Have not had it in wood yet.

I couldn’t quite feel the earth shaking, but probably only because of that foam……….
