Well, I was trying to search for a used 066 or 660 without paying a kings ransom, but then I came across one of those Farmertech build kits for under $200. I know its china junk, so what if I used a Hyway crank and piston with this kit? Of course, I would source a better coil and oiler. Has anyone ever done this?

Also, I was able to source OEM Stihl piston / cylinder and crank, but they want enough for it.. Would it be a good idea to run an OEM crank, piston and cylinder with a china kit?

Thanks

If your going to spend that much on oem crank, p&c. You are better off buying an oem saw. There are very detailed threads on these kits. Many are running fine with all kit parts. Just build it as is. If something doesn't work or breaks, then you already know how to fix it.
