Stumpage?

I have an acquaintance down in MO that has a bid from a logger on a bunch of trees. Black Walnut I believe. Anyhow the bid is 60 per cent to the owner, 40 percent to the logger. Is that a fairly standard cut? Seems to me that the logger should be getting more.

That seems standard, some guys around here will split 70/30 (not much anymore) if there is easy access and high value.
