I think my video is lost at the end of it's long thread. I thought you guys might want to see her run. I installed the carb kit tonight and got her running. It starts easily, idles good, and has good throttle response. She revs out nicely too. I left it running rich since I have no idea what it's supposed to be set to or how to properly set it with the governor it has. Any help there would be appreciated. And yes...I do have ear plugs in;)

Set it for 1 turn out and forget it, or, tie back the govenor, set the H to maybe 10k MAX!


The original (hard to find 1960's version) service manual has the tuning details.. I don't have one in front of me though..

Andy, how would you go about bypassing or tying back the govenor on those old saws? I want to do this to my mac super 44A. They should all be about the same, as far as govenors go, shouldn't they?:greenchainsaw: :cheers:
