Thinking about putting some sort of trash rack/table between my splitter and conveyor. I know some splitters have something similar as their outfeed table.

Anyone have pics of this? The box wedge on my Eastonmade 9-16 makes so much trash. I don't mind the waste - just looking for more efficient ways to manage it.

I made this outfeed table years ago for my Didier splitter. Made from steel bars mostly, went into the receiver hitch. I have a 9-16 now, no box wedge though. One could easily made something similar, go into the hitch, right off the aluminum outfeed table on there now. Lots of trash would fall through the bars.sp4.jpg

Thanks for the reply. Rather than build a separate table I think I'm going to build a replacement for the aluminum Eastonmade outfeed tray. Plan to use the same mounting design as the OEM but make the majority of it out of round bar or tube with 2 inch spacing.

The receiver hitch mount is an interesting option though. I don't want to be any further from the hopper on the conveyor than i have to be so I'm leaning toward replacing the OEM outfeed tray.

This is what I came up with. 1/4" steel plate and 1" square tubing with a 2" gap in between. Worked well on the initial test run!
