I live in Central FL and would love to plant some sand pines in my yard. First, do you think they will grow? It's sandy in my yard, but not scrub sandy with the white sand. We've got perfect conditions for growing St. Augustine. Does this mean that I may have a ph problem for sand pines?
If you do think the trees will survive, where the heck can I buy sand pines? All I ever see for sale is little tiny longleafs. Also do I have to buy the plants when they're a foot tall or is it possible to find some that are maybe at least 4/5 ft.
