After a very long winter in NH, I finally got out to a firewood pile my logger left in February and found some yellow and white birch logs that I thought might yield some nice lumber. I milled a short white birch log a week ago just to get the equipment working well again and then found a 14" diameter yellow birch log that looked interesting. While I didn't get any pictures of the milling operation with the RipSaw, I did get the following pictures of the resulting rough lumber. I'm glad winter is past and I can get back to milling again.
