Yeah I need to check on the rings to see if they are thick or thin. I was told anything from a Poulon 3400-4000 would work, but I'm not sure if there is performance difference between the different models

3400 - 57cc
3700-3800 - 61cc
4000 - 64cc

I have multiples of each. They are all great saws. Everything is interchangeable except the piston and jug. There are clutch cover variations in width, the 4000 and some 3700-3800 came with a pop up air filter cover and a much better air filter inside. The best mod right off is look up a 4000 muffler and cut a slit in the right side like it shows and bend out the slit for a dual port. Then drill out the cage inside the muffler (bigger holes).

Need to check your topend rings to see if you really have the 3700 thin ring one. Some of those were thick ring 3800.

Have both and about 50/50 chance here it seems.

Sold a super nice one to a collector.
Whats the difference in the thick and thin again? My 4000 is thin, my 3800 is thick but is still a 61cc like the 3700. I think all my 3400’s are thick.

Thick ring 3400 and 3800 have bare cylinders and chrome plated pistons.
Generally lower compression but run well and are close to the thin ring saws
