Saw Roanoaker was gettin' a kick outta these little rascals after ending up with a 2.3 add-on to a CL weed whacker deal he recently posted about. Gotta love it.

Snagged all of these last week for 40 bux. But the deal was I had to take the dude's 610 Timber Bear for another 15 if I wanted all of em.

Got to em today and they all run. Some Tygon, a coupla fuel filters, a duckbill for the CV and a few shots of fresh mix for all my new friends....., we was jammin'.

The 310 is a "factory refurb" with a brandy bottle cork for the oil tank cap and needs an oil pump, (not to mention chain brake), but started right up first pull with a shot o' prime. Outstanding.

So Johnnie, you're not alone.:msp_biggrin:

cool man! You can have your own battle of the old bricks! It would be neat to see which was the better of the old timey top handles, side by side by side timed cuts, etc.

I got me one of those little top handle saws, a Poulan 1800 which came with a running parts 1.8 in red. These saws are great little saws and will tackle just about anything you can throw at them. Now I need a bigger one.

way cool! I guess that is your new milling saw ;)

red 2.3

what ya want for the red 2.3???pm me if ya want to let her go!:msp_wink:

Two Craftsman branded Poulan Micros (one grey, one red), an S25-CVA, a late production S25DA, and the little refurbed Mac for $40? You did VERY well. Being 'forced' to buy the cinder block for $15 as part of the deal isn't too bad. You can get it running and either sell it for stupid money on feebay (they get big $$ for some reason), or keep it as a loaner/beater. I have the 320 my dad bought new in 1980 or so. Decent little saw really. Chainbrake lever is too big and gets in the way when cutting brush (yours looks to have solved that problem!) and they're a pain to do carb and fuel line work on. Mine still has the PowerSharp chain and stone. The four Poulans are the gems of that score.

Poge, you know it's coming, you know that you deserve it, so here it is:

You suck! :jester:

Yay! I'm somebody now!!!

Just a lucky day on CL and a nice country drive to go pick em up. I was pleasantly surprised by their general condition and even more surprised that none of them were overly abused or toasted -- not to mention all starting right up with a little shot of mix.

And I'll take you up on the 310 oil pump, Jacob -- and maybe a piece of that Homelite hose you mentioned for using on my 036 oil pumps? :msp_wink:

And Stub, I think I'm gonna keep em all for a while 'till I find the favorite(s), but'll keep you in mind if I decide to part with the li'l red guy.
