Stopped by Northern Tools, Richmond, Va. to get their chain sharpener (normally $120, on sale for $90). They had a $220 (marked in store price) Efco 3600 (http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_200343004_2003430043600) marked down to $99.49 (that the salesperson said they had done because they were discontinuing them) which because it was under $100 was further discounted 50%.

So - a saw for 5 sawbucks.

I looked at it as a "toy saw", but then for $50, new, w/ chain, warranty, etc. it looks like a good "loaner" saw.

So check your local Northern Tools.

Now if I only could have gotten a new Solo 681 for $200 I'd be REAL happy.

Thats a nice little saw and especially for $50. I have a 40cc John Deere version, and my neighbor has the Cub Cadet version. There dead reliable.

Look at Bailey's for chain or a different bar their you can buy a abor max bar and chain combo their a little over $20 and chains are real a good deal some non safety woodland pro.

are there any more?

Was that the only saw they had there for that price? or was there more than one?
thanks

I have a little 40cc jd ,I think the guy I bought it from won it in a drawing or somethin. It was new as in never had gas in it. Its a fun little saw with a good chain but probabley not worth(to me any way) the 100 bucks I gave him for it.
must have been a cad thing

They had two but the employee was buying the other one.
Ran half a tank thru it Sunday, runs great. Took down a 14"+ holly tree. Seems little "tinnier" and a lot "cheaper" than my Stihl 021.
Still well worth $50 w/ 2 chains.
