Welcome to AS. The Stihl 076 is 111cc, the super version would have more displacement, though I'm not sure how much more. AV stands for anti-vibration.

The Super doesn't have more displacement, it has a different carburetor.

All 075s and 076s were AV saws.

All 076 saws intended for sale in North America were the Super version. Those that you see that are not Supers were imported in the secondary market.

Cheers 4 the input. not sure wot to look 4 if its a super. im in New Zealand. it was my fathers saw and i have got it since his passing. all i know is it a bloody great saw to use. hehe:greenchainsaw:

Sorry to hear of your fathers passing. That's one nice saw you were passed down. Enjoy it with fond memories of your father!

thanks, i also got a jonsred saw which he got new way back. was the first saw i used like 18 years ago. it needs to b fixed but not sure if its worth it, any ideas?

Welcome to the site MR 076, you have come to the right place to find answers to your chainsaw questions. Post the model of your Jonsered and what you think is wrong with it, any saw can be fixed but the modle and whats ailing it will determine if its worthwhile. For me personally I would repair or restore it for the sentimental value alone.

Well nowadays with the internet all things are possible, let us know if you ever decide to get the Jonsered out, a few picts up on here and the guy`s will have that saw identified and running for you.
