Why do guy's hot rod smaller saws?
Wouldn't it just be easer to buy a bigger saw in the first place?

Kind of like buying a Corvette with a 6 cylinder, and trying to make run like a V-8.

You've got it all wrong. It's like buying a BMW M3, and making it run like a 750. We're not starting with inferior saws. It's a very nice thing when you can have the power and performance of a larger saw, in the package of a smaller one. Less weight and fatigue, means more work done at the end of the day.

Well some of us cant afford a bigger saw but still wanna play.

Its kinda like me i have a big heavy diesel truck people ask why i hot rod it. I tell them its fun, and my big heavy 6800 pound truck will blow the doors off a mustang gt:)

No, No, It's very Satisfying to hop up a less than stellar motor and see and feel the fruits of your labor. Just about everything I own is Modified (Hence the BlownCrewCab) as kids we made my moms lawnmower run on alcohol :) .. I added almost 20mph to my Yamaha Rhino, and I had a 4cyl S-10 Pickup that I stuffed a 69 Corvette motor into...the list goes on.....

take that corvette with the v8 and make it put out 450hp ( i did that ) ..
i could have bought a lamborghini but i had the vette..couldnt afford italian anyway.
thats why..

also,WHY do you need to be told the point of it all when it is so obviouse ??

I understand the fun and the get up and go thing, When I was a kid all the guy's had fast cars, but when we built the engines we started with the biggest engine we could fit in the car, and then build from there.

Well, becuase anything stock is just that.....stock
Stock cars are pretty slow too, weather its a vette, lamborgheni(especially slow) or a pinto, yes the stock vette is much faster than the pinto, but not nearly as cool as a pinto that can beat a vette.

By the way I eat vettes for breakfast lunch and dinner;)

unlike a car a saw comes with only one size engine and thats all that will fit and you have to work with that.
so if you know about building engines, why the silly question ??

Not a silly question in my book, why would you build a little saw, that won't cut or perform as good as a bigger saw?

Not trying to pick a fight, just asking that's all.
You guy's act like I peed on your cornflakes.
