Same thing happened to cars and trucks back in the early 70's, you could fix most tuning problems right under your own shade tree. Now you need to be an electrical engineer, saws will soon be the same way. Good or bad? To early to tell.

When you pull the saw out of the box you are suppose to run the saw under a load for 5 minutes. I believe the computer on the carb will read four codes, and you must have the computer program to make a new carb work. I let a logger run one for a demo and he said it was like holding a 372xp in his hands without the weight. Might as well get use to the computer controlled carbs as Husqvarna will be bringing most all of their hand held product line to the system.

Ya, he hasn't bought the block off kit yet. Dealers have to spend over a couple hundred bucks just to work on these things correctly.

I know it cost money to work on them, I am a dealer also. Block offs are handy, but rubber works all the same, just like we do on the saws that don't have block offs made for them.

Yes run it under load for 3-5 minutes, the module reads anytime the saw is running and monitors a boat load of things. The diagnostics build into the module are the temp, fuel valve and throttle position tests along with a bunch of error codes.

you do not need the diagnostic tool to make the saw work, all you need is some go-juice

Base software is present in the module form the factory.

I have a 555 thats been at the dealer for over 3 weeks now . He knows its a carb issue but can't get the programmer? from husky to diagnose it . He gave me another 555 to run while we wait , but I'm afraid to use it
See, with all this computer stuff I'll stick with my 262. I remember when electronic ignitions first came out. Sometimes for whatever reasons my old 44 Husky wouldn't run. My buddy had a 028 Stihl that had the pts. He used to change them every fall. Always ran. Never came home empty handed. When I went to a Husky dealer to buy a 162 wouldn't sell me one. Said the electronic ignition systems were bogus. I like KISS. Give me my old Mac 10-10, or the Homelite super XL. They're still running. ? when they work out the bugs I'll consider getting a 562. But $700? Man we used to get saws for $35-50!

I tried the saw again a bit ago. Ran 2 tanks through it worked great. I did not have time today at work to hook it up to the diagnostic tool ill try to do that tommorow and see if it gives me any error codes. It does seem to be running through the gas real fast mabey im just imaging that. I am cutting larg ash and trying to go as fast as I can.
Does any one know what the average fuel setting should read on the computer printout.

Oh. Make sure the coil is properly grounded. Remove the bolts and clean the mounts on the coil and crankcase.

reprogram?

MMMM.....no you cant........that only applied to the first few series of 576 and 570AT versions....and you also needed 18V to do it.

Then why do I have instructions from Husqvarna that tell me step by step how to do it?

this is to much stupid bs on chainsaw!!! so much more to go wrong and have problems with like what is goin on here! reprogram? so you need to take the software and a computer to cut firewood now! unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have been quite a few of these saws sold and very, very few problems so far.

Time will tell...

I am curious. Do they have a sensor in the system somewhere to tell it how much fuel should be delivered? What kind of sensor is it and where is it located? Between the two charts that you show there seems to be a big difference in the carb settings.

i'm under the impression that yes there is a sensor run by the ignition system thats located on the carb.

Fuel delivery is determined by RPM and leanout testing in cooperation with the throttle position sensor.

Is the elusive AT programmer required or needed to be used on the 576xp ? Or is it only needed on the 555 and 562xp ?

There is no programming or software involved with the 570/576AT saws. You can not plug them into a computer.

Ya the one on the left looks quite a bit out of whack as far as the fuel setting, should be around 87H and 38L there could be something else causing it to adjust itself this far out though. You could try doing a master reset and see what happens.

i've done 1 master reset so far. and 1 fuel settings reset. and 1 software reload.

to begin with about this saw, it had the wrong serial number of the saw downloaded on first connection to computer.

there has been really not much change in the way the saw acts,or behaves since initial start up. but the saw cuts really good & has good torque that you can lean on!......if it would only idle, and restart hot :bang:
