I've acquired 4 Husqvarna 372 xp saws. They're in pretty rough shape, but I got all 4 for $100 so I'm not hurt too bad.
My question is how do I split the case on a 372 the correct way.? I have enough parts to make 2 complete saws, and I'm anxious to get started.

Thanks.!!

If your looking to salvage the cases and the cranks then either buy a splitter tool from husky or strip the saws and have your local dealer split them for you. The splitter tool actually pushes the crank out of the bearing by holding the bearing and pressing the pto or mag end of the crank through them. Very gentle on the parts, no damage to anything. Search crankcase splitter on here and you'll turn up alot of info.

hopin fer some pics yet:rock:sounds like you got a good deal, up here id haf to pay a least double the price for 4 dead 372's

They're a mess of oily parts right now. I started taking them apart today to see what I could salvage.. They wouldn't make for a very good pic.. I'm stuck in a motel in Richmond Va. but I'll try and get some pics when I get home Sunday..

What do you hook that too on the flywheel side? I think I am missing something....

Still had to back the nut out to the end of the shaft and use a hammer on the flywheel side..
