Feels good to get it stacked ... don't it. I did a bunch myself about 10 days ago. Still have some to do then I start cutting the next batch.

Yes it does, It's not that fun stacking it but when you get it all stacked it looks good and feels good and you can be proud of it, lol.

Looking good, Shane. Nice to step back and admire the results of your work. 
We cut for our use only, I'm all done for the duration. Burned a lot more wood this past winter than usual. That kinda put me behind, I had to drop a few trees in late winter to make up for it.

I have to stack 8 truck loads and then split and stack 5 dumptruck loads. I have been told not to drag up any more wood until I clean this up. Killing me because a storm blew through and I have my eye on some good white oaks down the road.

Next on the list is 'restacking after apile falls over or the end blows out" Just did that the other day on 6' tall ricks of B. Locust - the end blew out dumping 5 rick ends. It was on my oldest pile of wood, been there at least 7 years.

Looks good!! Did some myself as well today, have a bunch of red oak out in the woods in block I will leave out there for a couple of years. I got about a 1/4 of it stacked today, still have some to finish cutting so I can stack it, and a little more to get down and cut. Its a lot of work doing it your self, but when its done.....

Thanks everyone. It was a huge pile of wood when I first started, I said to my self " Oh man, this is gonna take a while" hahahaha. Got it all stacked though and now I love admiring it
I *love* hanging around my wood stack areas. Its like Scrooge McDuck hanging out in his money pit.
If I ever build a house, I will build it cordwood masonry, because..well, its neat construction, but also because it just looks spiffy, because its a wood stack!

You are aware that a "rick" is any stack of wood one piece wide? That includes any stack from 3 pieces on up to infinity.
