ShaneLogs,

Them stacks are looking mighty fine.
Yeppers a pain to have to stack but when the burning season returns you will be glad it was done.
Just got finished splitting and stacking 8 cords of silver maple so I know it's a workout but nice to look back when your done and think about warm days on cold nights :)

Yes it will be! I added about another half cord to it on top so now it's pretty high. Looks good though

I have 2 parts wheel barrows here and a good working one, Hahaha! U can get wheels just about anywhere for them though.

I tried patching it but got mad at it and just used the front end loader which I should have done in the first place

Looks Good...It would have taken me 10/hrs to stack that pile. My 3 yr old grandson has to help pappy stack wood so when i put two pieces on the stack he pulls one off. The other day i was stacking and i had a small fire going to burn all the bark and junk that was laying on the ground I thought man that fire is really taken off over there and when i looked he had thrown about 6 pieces of wood off the pile on the fire. Just had to laugh. Can't wait until he gets a little
older, then he'll do all the stacking and i can tell him how i'm getting even with him:laugh:

Ok, finally remembered to take the camera with me to the woods. Here are pics of the wood I have been working on for a while, getting it cut and stacked. These are all red oak that came down in a storm last july. I will leave them out in the woods intil 2014, then I will splitt and haul to the wood shed. One is a whole tree, lot of it was hollow and no good, the other is half of the tops from two other tree'sView attachment 292649View attachment 292650View attachment 292651View attachment 292652View attachment 292653Had to pull the last top out with the truck very carefully.......There is one more two face cord stack from the other top, thought I had a pic.
