Anybody know a solid BTU rating on Russian Olive

BTU value is about the same for all hard wood when equal weight of dry

is burned. Some of the heaviest green wood is among the lightest when dry.

Not sure what part of the response seems to have bothered you. From my perspective, I offered both an answer and a link to more information, if you wanted it. The answer I provided actually did come from good people on a wood cutting community forum, albeit a different one than this perhaps. It was one of the hits returned to the Google search.

Why so touchy to what was in essence a sincere response to your question?
