Dumb not to get the 562XP right?

Good advice, I have an Echo 360T for the light stuff, but most of my wood comes from Arborists that have cut trees around my home and leave me the trunks which often run 18in +. I need something that won’t wear me out sectioning them. I'm sure a 545 would be adequate but a 562 will be fun. Kind of like driving to the store, a Chevy will get me there in comfort, but is it exciting to drive?
Also, I wouldn’t use any chainsaw without proper protection and care.
The man knows what he wants. Go get it and enjoy!

I assume your referring to the original EL46 carb's, but from what I've just learned from the AS members the EL48 resolves those problems.

I think the original was Zama EL-44, which later was replaced with Zama EL-48.

Not on the Husqvarna 555/560/562 XP models, according to their IPL documents. Neither any Zama EL46 on Jonsered saws.

There was for a short? while, even if it isn't reflected in the IPLs.

Edit; I saved a 2013-01 560xp IPL while it still was on the Husky website, and there it is:

The 357xp vs 372xp is not even a close comparison. Where as the 555 & 562xp are almost the same saw.

That said, I'd likely take the 357xp (ported) over all of them. :D

I looked at specs on Husqvarna.com and did my "research" before reading this site much at all.
My logic was 357XP was a pound lighter than 372 and almost rated same HP as my 262.
Then I started reading on here and just saw so much chatter about the 372 and decided to kick it up a notch. Big deal about the extra weight...
Besides now I've got the 262 and 350 for when the 372 makes my arms feel like jello after cutting all day.

262XP: Still most comfortable saw IMHO to run
372XP: More fun than 262 because you are up to your knees in chips when using it

I would think the 562 would be similar to 262 in comfort. Would love to try running someone's with 20" bar to see. Next time I see my buddy who has one I will try it out.

357xp is 56.5cc & a 372 is 71cc. The 357xp is closer to the 346xp in size than to the 372xp & I believe more than a pound lighter... Not knocking the 372 at all, just saying the two saws are in completely different classes. I also have no use for a 70cc saw, so I see things a bit different than most...

A you point out -- my "research" was flawed. Don't forget the weights listed on Husqvarna.com need to probably be taken with grain of salt too.
I was looking for saw to replace 262. Was pretty set on 357XP from just looking at Husqvarna.com specs including weight, HP, CC's, etc.

Then came along and read a bunch on here... given we do handle some large rounds when cutting 10 cords for our sugaring season, having a saw than can run 28" skip chain (the 372) more and more became the logical choice.

Notice my sentence "My logic was 357XP was a pound lighter than 372 and almost rated same HP as my 262." I was comparing the HP of 357 to that of my 262 -- I think a fair comparison. Comparing that 357 is lighter than 372 that's all.

Short of what I'm saying: I was never trying to put 357XP in same class as 372. Was trying to replace my aging 262 and "anything" was up for grabs. 372 was the right choice (for me anyway!)
