My normal work boots don't jive with geckos size 13. 12's are better 11 are good I used to use a pair of asolo hiking boots cause they had a good shape that fit the geckos perfect. I have a pair of Carolina loggers I got at the start of the winter have yet to wear them with spikes I'll check them out later and see how they fit

The Geckos are a very nice spur and I actually almost like them. But, the stirrup is too narrow for certain boot soles and I don't like how the pad is inline with the shank. I'm getting titanium Bucks and going back to the big buck velcros like I used to wear. The offset from the steel insert allows the Buck Spurs to sit perfect on my legs. I never should have sold my old steel bucks lol.

The Geckos just feel too light duty and kinda cheesy to me. I do mainly big removals so I like going in the tree feeling like iron man.

Sounds like there is a need for spikes to accommodate to skinny feet,,honestly,
I bet a poll would put Geckos a good purchase.
Jeff,,
I love my geckos but a big foot straight up don't fit in them properly my old boots (not climbing boots) would "wedge" themselves in there all angled n goofy like if you were standing in a tight crotch in a tree it was very uncomfortable after a few mins. I like the design if only they made a wide size if you wear a 11.5 or less you are good

Lol. We talking iron man or hillbilly clod here? It's such a fine line when you really get down to it. Just saying.

I here Ya but I'm also over 6' and 185 pounds and have big legs so the big buck velcros are nice for me

I was considering the Geckos, im about to retire my 10 year old Bashlin's.

Don't do it. Doubly don't do it if your bashlins are aluminum. What pads are you running? Aluminum bashlins with caddys and wraps are just about the sweetest ride there is. The geckos just push out on your shins too much and are very uncomfortable for long days in big trees. Even more so if they have the long spikes. I can't give mine away.

Hell I'll take them if you're trying to give them away.

Get boots to fit your feet, then find spurs that fit the boots, and your legs and back will thank you.
My feet are too big for geckos, also. Try before buy!
