Wait a minute. Not to pick a fight or anything, but the "example" you posted is an example of two things: one, that you're a wheeler/dealer, flipper, etc. Nothing wrong with that, but personally I try to never deal with guys doing that. And two, that you gave someone 20% off your inflated asking price.

So people either pay what you're asking, or they leave empty handed. But not always...
I inflated the price because we all know people want to haggle. So I left room for haggling.

The saw I'm not trying to flip, It's barley been used and in mint condition. So it should bring a fair price. I'm not giving it away, that would be stupid.

Besides, It's not my fault people don't do there research and homework before they go shopping.

Is it possible that some people actually do their research and homework and come up with a different value (IE Lower) then what you are asking? You may not believe this but there are people out there that really do over price their objects because they think that all their stuff is the best in the world and worth it.

I never offer an inflated price for whatever I sell here. Instead, I usually discount it because I respect the folks who patronize this forum and want to give them the best bang for the buck. Simple as that.

This thread is a joke plain and simple. Should be in the trading post. Your saws worth $250 bucks.
GLWS
Your full of it. a brand new ms 391 with 10 hours on it in mint condition is worth way more the 250.
What planet are you from? or are you just another low boller? out to take advantage of someone?
Don't wast my time with your low ball opinion.
Ms 391 new go for 600+, why would I sell a saw i just bought for 600 dollars and sell six months later for a loss of 300 bucks? Thats is what we call a fool and his money.

"why would I sell a saw i just bought for 600 dollars and sell six months later?" - OK, I'm confused. I thought that was exactly what you were trying to do.

Also, you say it's too big for what you need, and you only bought it to cut down some bog trees. If you already had an MS362, why didn't you use that? Did you not want to ruin it in the bog? If so, wouldn't the MS391 then be messed up from being used in a bog, and therefore, not really in new condition?

Your reading way to much into nothing.
Do I really don't need to explain what led up to my wanting to sell the 391?

Just so to make you happy. I had the 391 before I bought the 362.
Why are you assuming I misused it in any way?
Your confusing one sale for another.
The saw was bought new, and used once. And not in a bog. lol as you say.

Am I missing something here?

if you bought it for $600, after YOU have owned it for six months isn't it now worth $800+ just like your previously mentioned item.

Again your are confusing two different scenarios.
The 391 was bought new for around 650.00, I used it once (and not in a bog) so it's value is less then a new one.
That's why I'm asking 500 for it.

The used speakers I bought were way under priced for there value.
Those speekers new run 2,200.00 each. I bought them Used and I paid 800 for the pair in good condition.
It's not my fault the seller only wanted 800. He may have really needed the money.
Finding a great deal and then reselling it for a profit is business 101.
Your gonna criticize me for being a smart shopper?

I didn't say you used it in a bog, you did in your original post. You said you needed it to cut down some bog trees. I'm not familiar with those, but I'm assuming since they grow in bogs, that it gets pretty messy cutting them down.

Again, not for beginners, you must have extensive experience of a chainsaw to to handle such a powerful saw.
This is a very powerful saw and not for beginners. Only experienced operators should be using a saw of the magnitude.
So your limiting your saw to only people with a masters degree or P.H.D. in chainsawing to purchase this beauty.....
